Personal Projects

2014 - Zephix: Login

My most recent project to date was to design and develop a kingdom-building game called Zephix. This is the latest log-in screen to date. It's developed in Flash, and written in ActionScript 2.0. This Flash application communicates with a MySQL database through PHP. It allows an individual to register a new account, login, or recover a forgotten password.

2014 - Zephix: In-game Screenshot

This is an in-game screenshot of Zephix, the latest version to date. It's a kingdom-building game which makes use of tiles. Tiles are interactable and can be built on, such as constructing a woodcamp over some woods, a mine atop a hill, etc. All graphics were drawn and coloured by me. It was developed in Flash, and written in ActionScript 2.0. Unfortunately I didn't finish this project, but I had masses of fun imagining up a new land, and being creative. Developing a game has always been an ambition of mine.

2009 - Zephix PHP Game

In college a wrote a very basic PHP text-based online game. The aim of the game was to make gold through various activities, and hope to survive long enough to become a ruler. Players were competing with other players for land and power, and could remove rivals from the game through the use of weaponry. It was riddled with bugs (my PHP was terrible!), but my college friends and a few random online people had a lot fun emersing themselves in the game.

2014 - Assistive Technology

This was developed in my Group Project module at university. It's a communication aid for an individual who cannot speak.

2010 - Calculator Application

This calculator application was designed and developed in my Programming module at university. The software used was Visual Studio, and I coded it in VB.NET.

2014 - Zephix: Website

This is the kingdom-building game's website, written in HTML with some elements of PHP.

2010 - Old Zephix Registration

2015 - Freelance Web Design

I was commissioned by a family member to design and develop a website for her dance studio business.

2014 - Spelling Bee Game

This was developed in my eLearning module. It's a fun and colourful game that teaches school children in years 3 through 6 how to spell. It boasts four different types of games, and three difficulties.

2012 - HTML website

This website was written in my Web Design and Development module at university. It addressed web standards, and website accessibility legislation. It briefly covered usability evaluation techniques; specifically ease of use. Module practical was to develop a fully-functioning website.

2010 - JukeBox Application

This jukebox application was designed and developed in my Programming module at university. The software used was Visual Studio, and I coded it in VB.NET. Its functionality includes: able to import .mp3s, can create multiple playlists, and can copy, move, add or delete a track in a playlist.
